How To Adopt A Healthy Diet Plan

I am going to ask you two questions.

  1. How often have you tried adopting a healthy diet, but failed?
  2. Out of those times, you failed, how often was it due to convenience?

Perhaps one day you just didn’t find the willpower or time to cook a healthy meal for yourself.

You were exhausted from work, the kids had been driving you crazy, you just heard some bad family news or any other random thing could have happened that made you sad or upset.

Instead of cooking a healthy meal for yourself, you opted for the convenience of takeaway to buy pizza, hamburger or any other type of fast food that didn’t require preparation.

I don’t blame you, it’s just too damn convenient. This has happened to me multiple times.

However, this can easily be prevented.

There are many tips and tricks you can use to help yourself adopt a healthy diet plan, and I am going to tell you about my number one trick.

It will prevent you from failing those times when cooking just doesn’t seem like an option when you don’t have the time to go to the store, or you’re just downright tired or busy with other things.

This involves taking time out of your day to write a list.

This is a list of fast food places and restaurants that serve healthy foods that will not sabotage your weight loss efforts. If you take the time to look for them, you should find plenty.

Write this list down and keep it close, such as in your wallet, so that you can refer to it when the time comes.

Some restaurants only serve organic food, others serve food without refined wheat and sugar, many restaurants offer chicken salads or roast chicken that isn’t deep fried. There are even hamburger places where you can buy a burger without the bun, and swap the fries for a baked potato.

Find as many of those places as you can. Perhaps give this project an hour or two. Ask your friends if they know of such places and ask around at the online chat forums.

Last but not least, call your favorite restaurants and favorite fast food places and ask them if they offer healthy alternatives. Also call the places your friends and family like to go to.

An additional benefit of doing this is that it may prevent you from ever having to say no to your friends or family when they go out to eat, or from you being the “annoying person” that makes everyone have to go to some other restaurant.
