Alt Medicines Help Boost Your Immunity to Survive the Age of Superbug

A growing number of superbugs resistant to modern medicines are on the rise, and people are asking the question: Does my immune system have what it takes to help me survive a highly infectious disease?

Of course there are no guarantees in life, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take control of your wellbeing to ensure optimum health in the event that an outbreak occurs in your area.

So what does it take to be healthy? Are there things that you can do to boost your immune system and help yourself before you come in contact with a superbug or, even worse, find yourself in the middle of an epidemic?

The truth is herbal medicines, vitamins and minerals can give our bodies an advantage should the need arise to help fight off diseases and give yourself a fighting chance.

The following is an excerpt from a special report I recently drafted that can be downloaded for free at the following link. It is by no means comprehensive but it does give a pretty good overview of what’s available to optimize your immune system and ensure good health should a terrible tragedy strike in your neck of the woods. The herbs, vitamins, minerals and foods listed in the report can all be ordered online or through local healthfood stores. The store at NaturalNews.com also carries many great nutritional supplements that you can start taking today to boost your immune system and help ward off sickness.

The good news is, so far, most of the deadliest diseases around today, such as ebola, cholera, the bubonic plague, anthrax and SARS, have largely been contained to areas in Africa and Asia that lack access to healthcare.

But with the world becoming increasingly smaller through advances in travel and more and more contact among remote peoples, this could all be changing.

So why is it that some people are able to survive highly infectious, deadly diseases while the majority of people die?

In the case of ebola, where less than 40% of patients who are infected survive, doctors believe that people born with a certain gene help them fight off the disease.

Here is what the popular science blog, “LiveScience.com,” had to report about the survivability of ebola: “Doctors don’t know for certain who will survive Ebola, and there is no specific treatment or cure for the disease. But studies suggest there are some biological markers linked with a higher chance of surviving ebola, experts say.”

Unfortunately, only a tiny fraction of the population contains these genes. In Europe and the United States, about 1 in 400 people have them, though, oddly enough, one in 10 people in Nova Scotia have a certain gene mutation that helps fight off ebola.

So if you have not been gifted in the genetic department, is there anything you can do to help stave off diseases?

Short of living in a sealed, climate-controlled, sterile bubble, there is not a lot people can do to avoid coming in contact with viruses and bacteria. But whether you survive can be a product of how healthy your immune system is. Thankfully there are many, many vitamins, minerals, herbs, and foods that can give you a boost. I compiled a list of some of the more well-known and thoroughly researched nutritional supplements that include astragalus, echinacea, olive leaf extract, vitamin D, and turmeric to name a few. You can find the complete list along with a special report that can be downloaded for free by clicking here.

The idea here is not to go out and buy every single item on the list and start compulsively taking them on a daily basis. Through experimentation—and working with a doctor or other expert on nutrition—a person can find what works best for them and eliminate those that don’t.
