Are Toxins Making You Fat?

Health problems caused by being overweight and obesity are a rising epidemic in our country. There are many factors in our life that can lead to weight gain, such as poor diet and lack of exercise.  Even those that are living a healthy lifestyle can find it difficult to lose weight. Toxins could be the culprit.

So, what are toxins? Toxins are anything your body does not recognize as food, such as chemicals, pesticides, poisons or drugs found in foods we eat, water we drink, and products we use on our bodies.

These harmful toxins can build up in our body over years of exposure and eventually our bodies can lose the ability to naturally eliminate them. This is when the problems begin. When toxins accumulate in the body, our liver and other organs try to eliminate them, but when the liver becomes overloaded, it can no longer efficiently get rid of these toxins and they are ultimately stored in fat cells as a way of protecting the body.  This can lead to obesity and illness.

Fat that is being used to store toxins can be very difficult to get rid of with diet and exercise alone. This is why cleansing the body of harmful toxins is critical for weight loss and maintaining a healthy weight, along with avoiding illness and disease.

Eating organic food free of pesticides, herbicides, and other chemicals, along with drinking an adequate amount of water alkalized with lemon or apple cider vinegar will help to naturally rid the body of toxins.  To break down these toxins and eliminate them from the body, I also recommend that all of my clients come in 2 to 3 times weekly for a session that includes Whole Body Vibration and Infrared Sauna Therapy, along with instruction on nutritional supplements that aid in the detoxification process.

Whole Body Vibration Therapy not only builds muscles, burns calories, and increases metabolism, but it also detoxifies your internal organs and cells. The synergy of these two types of therapies can work wonders for ridding these harmful toxins from our organs and fat cells, helping us feel healthier, more energetic, and begin to lose those unwanted pounds.

For many, the most important in weight loss is self-discipline. It is possible to know specifically how you should be eating, but no apply what you know. For such self-sabotage, the most important resolution lies in getting support to make better choices while resolving the emotional issues around food.
